The Birth of the Church

What happens when ordinary, flawed people are filled with something far greater than themselves? In Acts 2, we witness one of the most dramatic transformations in all of Scripture. A man who had recently denied knowing Jesus three times stands before thousands of people and delivers the first Christian message in history, without notes, without preparation, and without hesitation. This sermon takes us deep into that moment and asks a question that cuts to the heart of our own faith journey: what could the Holy Spirit do through us if we stopped disqualifying ourselves? From a craftsman in Exodus empowered to build the Ark of the Covenant, to people in our own communities stepping out of addiction and failure into lives of purpose and service, the pattern is undeniable. The Spirit does not wait for us to be ready. It equips us in the moment we say yes. Whether we feel like the least qualified person in the room or carry the weight of past failures, this message reminds us that the Spirit's empowerment has never been about our credentials.
