Jehovah- The God Who is Near

While Elohim identifies God as the all-powerful Creator of the universe , Jehovah is His personal and relational name, appearing over 6,500 times in Scripture. The transition from Elohim in Genesis 1 to Jehovah in Genesis 2 signals God’s desire to be personally involved with humanity rather than remaining a distant "Higher Power".

Don’t be so distracted by the "burning bushes" (the miracles or problems) that you miss the Person speaking from the flame. Jehovah delivered us not just for freedom, but for relationship.
